Submission Terms: Your Report, Your Material
What you agree to when you file a report at Mold's Gym: you keep ownership of your words, photos, and video; what license you grant; how metadata is handled; and how to withdraw your material.
You keep your material
The words, photos, and video you submit are yours. Filing a report at Mold’s Gym transfers no ownership of anything you send.
The license you grant
When you submit a report and choose a publication option, you grant Mold’s Gym a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish, reproduce, and display your material with your report — on this site, and in Mold’s Gym posts that share that report — in the form covered by the choice you made:
- Publish anonymously — your material may be published; your name never appears.
- Publish with my first name — your material and first name may be published.
- Keep it private — nothing of yours is published. Your report is counted in totals only, and the license above does not apply to publication.
Publication is never guaranteed. Every report is reviewed by a person first, and some are declined.
Photos and video: the separate choice
Media consent is its own checkbox, apart from the report-text choices above:
- Checked — your photos and video may be published with your report.
- Unchecked — your media stays private: evidence for the record, seen only by the review team.
Either way, the metadata rule holds: the time-and-place data inside your files is read privately to help verify your report, never published, and stripped from any file before publication. The public location on a report is the city, taken from your report — never a pin from your phone. The full detail is in the Privacy Summary.
What we may do to your text
We may organize your account into a timeline and trim it for length and clarity, without changing its meaning. Your raw account stays on file as the record of what you submitted.
Your side of it
- Submit only material you have the right to share — your own photos, video, and documents, or material you have permission to send. Do not upload someone else’s private paperwork.
- Protect other people’s details. If a document you upload shows someone’s email address, phone number, or other private contact details, black them out first. We will never publish a document showing your email or phone.
- File what you believe is true, in your own words. Reports are published as accounts — your account must be honestly yours.
Taking your material back
If you want your report or your media withdrawn, ask through the route on the Copyright, Takedown & Corrections page. Your personal material comes down. Counts that never identified you — an anonymous total, an index figure — may remain counted, because they were never about you by name.
