Privacy Summary
What Mold's Gym collects when you file a report, what is never published, how photo and video metadata is handled, and how to get your data removed — in plain language.
This is the short version, in plain language. The lines on the Report It form itself say the same things at the moment you file — if anything here and anything there ever differ, what you were told when you filed is what counts.
What we collect when you file
- Your report: the account, the place, the dates, the complaints you already made, and the evidence you upload (photos, video, documents).
- Your contact details: name, email, and optional phone. These are private fields. They exist so we can send your report packet and follow up once — the 14-day check-in that asks whether anyone responded.
- If you sign a petition: the name, city, state, and email the petition form asks for, used to deliver and count that petition.
What is never published
- Your name, email, and phone. Not with your report, not anywhere on this site. Ever.
- The location and time data inside your photos and video. Phone media usually carries it. We read it privately, on our side, only to help verify a report. What is stored is a derived note — whether the data was present and whether it fits the reported place and dates — kept for reviewers. The raw data is never published, never put in your report packet, and any file prepared for publication is re-encoded with the metadata stripped out first.
- Anything from a report you marked private. Private reports are counted in totals and nothing more is shown.
Public location on any published report is the city, taken from your report — never a coordinate, never a pin from your phone.
How publication works
Nothing is published until a person reviews it. What is published follows the consent you chose: anonymously, with your first name, or not at all. Media is published only if you also checked the separate media-consent box. The full terms are in Submission Terms.
Published totals — report counts, Silence Index figures — are aggregates. A percentage for any business is published only when at least five verified reports stand behind it, so no single filer can be identified from a statistic.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not publish reporter contact details. We do not hand intake records to the businesses reported on.
Your data, back or gone
If you want to know what we hold from your filing, or want it removed, ask through the route on the Copyright, Takedown & Corrections page. Removal of your personal material is honored; anonymous counts that never identified you may remain counted.
