Content & Republication Policy
What Mold's Gym publishes, the attribution model for other people's work, what a 0–10 score means, and how creators can change or remove their work.
Three kinds of content live here
- Our own work — reporting, research, and education written by this site: the founding case, Gym Watch research, Learn articles, the Silence Index.
- Curated work by other people — articles, videos, and posts by the researchers, inspectors, doctors, and members doing real work on mold, collected in Voices and across the site.
- Consumer reports — accounts filed by members of the public through Report It. Those have their own page of rules: Reports Are Reports.
The attribution model
Every outside resource we consider gets one score from 0 to 10 on accuracy and quality, under a single published rubric. The score decides how the work appears here:
- 7, 8, 9, or 10 — republished, with attribution. The author’s name and credit travel with the work, and every republication links back to the original. Video is embedded from the creator’s own channel — never downloaded, never re-uploaded, never stripped of its source.
- Below 7 — linked only. We may point readers to it. We do not republish it.
That is the whole model. There is no tier where someone else’s work appears here as if it were ours.
What republication does not mean
- The work belongs to its creator. Republication here changes nothing about ownership.
- Their views are theirs. A researcher, author, or member featured on this site speaks for themselves. Their claims are attributed to them and labeled by evidence level — they are not restated in our voice, and unproven claims are never presented as facts, whoever made them.
- Inclusion is not endorsement — in either direction. Being listed, scored, or republished here does not mean the creator endorses Mold’s Gym, and it does not mean Mold’s Gym endorses everything the creator has ever said. The score covers the work scored, under the rubric, nothing more.
- Scores are editorial opinion. They are published with the rubric so any reader can weigh them — and disagree.
Creators: change or remove your work
If your work appears on this site and you want the credit changed, context added, or the item taken down entirely, say so. Clear requests are acted on — authors can opt out, period. The route is on the Copyright, Takedown & Corrections page.
